«Wine Bar» returns to the radio: wine every Saturday on Radio Ticino
There's one more way to keep us company — and this time it doesn't come through the glass, but through your ears. After the summer break, "Wine Bar" returns, my column dedicated to wine inside "Vitamina K", Karin Cerini's Saturday morning show on Radio Ticino.
Every Saturday at 11:25 AM
The appointment is fixed: every Saturday, around 11:25 AM, Karin is in the studio and calls me on the phone for my segment. It's six or seven minutes in two parts, split by a song in the middle: I bring the topic of the week, she keeps me on my toes with her questions, and together we try to talk about wine without taking ourselves too seriously.
What we talk about
Every episode is different, but the common thread is always the same: the world of wine told in a simple and curious way. We go from grape varieties to stories of the regions, from how to approach a tasting to wine cocktails, all the way to food pairings and all those little curiosities that make this world so fascinating. The idea is that there's always something to take home with you, whether you're a true enthusiast or simply curious.
How it came to be
The most beautiful part is that it all happened by chance. Karin followed our page, and one evening we met right here at Mr.Vino. I knew she had a radio show and, only half in jest, she told me: "Wouldn't it be lovely to have a wine column in my show? Would you be up for it?". One trial episode… and we were off. Since then, to her, I'm simply "our very own Bruno De Luca, Mr.Vino!" — and I admit that hearing her say it live still gives me a little thrill.
Tune in (and tell us what you think)
You can listen to us every Saturday at 11:25 AM on Radio Ticino — on air, on TV, and streaming on the website and the app. We're starting up again now, after the summer break: the first episode of the new season airs on Saturday, September 5.
One last thing: for now, the episodes aren't recorded anywhere, but if you'd love to be able to listen to them again — a podcast, or clips of the individual segments — let us know. If enough of you want it, we'll get to work.
See you on the air on Saturday. Cin Cin!
