When I think of Italian bubbles that truly deserve attention, Alta Langa comes to mind. And when I say Alta Langa, I think of Giribaldi. On Saturday, October 24, I'm bringing him here, to Lugano: straight from Rodello, in the Langhe, **Matteo Giribaldi** arrives — and he brings with him five Metodo Classico wines to taste one after the other.

THE FORMAT

Meet the Maker is the evening when the winemaker is in the room, with you. No distance, no silent labels: Matteo tells the story of his wines as we pour them, and you understand what's behind every sip. We start at 7:30 PM, standing and in good company, with the bubbles as the stars and finger food keeping the rhythm.

THE PROTAGONIST

The **Azienda Agricola Giribaldi** is a family from Rodello (CN), in the heart of Piedmont. For tasting, five **Alta Langa DOCG wines, all Metodo Classico**: from the **Extra Brut 2022** to the **Blanc de Noirs** and the **Tradizionale Pas Dosé**, all the way to the two Riservas that make the difference — the **"Emma" 2018** (70 months on the lees) and the **Riserva 2015** (82 months on the lees). These are bubbles that waited years before reaching the glass: you can taste it.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We begin with a welcome that is already a statement: **Amélie Fine de Claire N°2 Oysters**. Then a selection of finger food designed for the bubbles — whipped baccalà on pane carasau, salmon tartare bao, pinsa with bufala and tuna tartare, "Brezza Marina" bruschette with stracciatella and alici, gambero roll. Seafood cuisine with character, in true Mr.Vino style, to accompany five Alta Langa wines without ever tiring the palate.
